The Hamburg-based DJ / Producer began collecting albums and making his own tape edits at a very young age. Since then, Hatzler knows he knew the dance floor personally. He got his first break with André Winter as Motion Unit, releasing different records for Oliver Huntemann’s notable Confused Recordings. Hatzler’s musical geniuses vary going from old electro-funk & ’90s preliminary techno via Warp and Detroit, through to the wide array of strains of house and techno of present day. Every one of these influences is available in Hatzler’s very own preparations, which have been consistently supporting throughout the years. His trademark style of rhythmical harmonies saturate a rich inventory of artist EPs for brands like Stil vor Talent and Senso Sounds.
Just as being a prominent independent producer, he has remixed for a stretch of list of industry greats that included Oliver Koletzki.
DJ Hatzler plays the type of selections that secure ravers in a far down and odd mix of entrancing, and periodically, irregular music; making a space where the forms of time soften away into the ocean of squirming bodies, stirring as one to the deep, rolling electronic licks, wounds and basslines.
In 2016 Hatzler was nominated best techno act in Beatport’s DJ-selected end of year poll. It’s a demonstration of his influence in the dance music network. As a DJ, Hatzler conveys his broad learning and experience to the stall, conveying deep and wandering sessions that will keep you stuck to the floor —be it at dawn at an outside celebration, or bolted into the unending night time of clubland.
