NSW Cops Take Seriously the “Poop Threat” on Premier Gladys Berejiklian

So, apparently, there’s this page on Facebook named “Leave a poo at Gladys Berejiklian’s doorstep.” The page called for exactly that—for people to deposit excrement at the New South Wales premier’s office as protest to her anti-pill testing stance.

Anyone who has a brain would know that it’s satire. Folks really won’t be stupid enough to leave poop at a government official’s front door now, would they?

But here’s the thing: the NSW police took the threat seriously enough to post officers at Mrs. Berejiklian’s office on Willoughby Road on the supposed poop-leaving day, February 21. They even contacted some of the 14,000 FB users who RSVP’d on the event, even though they know that it’s satire.

Of course, we’re aware that a few oddballs out there may take the poop-leaving at face value and actually attempt it. But we just don’t know which is funnier: the fact that someone came up with this shindig or that the NSW cops actually responded to it. Either way, we’re laughing.
